Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update will roll out on August 9 according to Lumia India Twitter account. The confirmation came as a response to a user: “Thanks for reaching out! For mobile, it will be available on August 9, 2016. If you have any queries, we’ll be here for you!”. After that, the tweet was deleted because maybe Lumia India rushed to confirm ahead the time, but the Reports about August 9 release, pop out all over the internet, so it can be considered as a solid bet.
The new update will bring many changes to the mobile OS, including Start Screen, Cortana, Microsoft Edge and overall UI changes and improvements.Although Cortana is currently only available on Windows 10 only in the United States, United Kingdom, China, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain. But if you set your phone to one of those countries, you will be able to use it without a problem.
Be aware, not all Lumia users will have the update. The older phones will not be upgraded to the latest build (10.0.14393.X). Here is the list of phones that will be able to get it though.
